Strength and Courage

Taking a family trip this weekend to a very inland festival brought with it lots of thought provoking moments.  100 mile from the sea in middle England we found ourselves sitting beneath an oak tree for shelter from the sun and cool cool air while the sound of the blacksmiths hammer resonated in time with the tribal music.

I have always been a little eccentric, putting my heart and beliefs in universal energies and loving the concept of celebrating seasons and nature. Spending time in meditations, yoga and absorbing white noise in the form of ocean waves.

This weekend was a change from our norm, a Viking Solstice celebration, with a theme of Strength and Courage.

Working our way through guided meditations and ceremonies, my son and I took steps out of our comfort zone, embracing our strength and feeling our courage.

Some steps were harder than others!

We will return to our normal life tomorrow knowing we have pushed ourselves beyond our expectations, and believing in ourselves just that little bit more. It takes courage to do something new and try something different. It takes courage to believe you can make a dream come true. It takes strength and belief in yourself to build a business out of a dream.

It’s time to believe every step takes us closer to a better future.
