Service Description

Ideal for pool swimmers transitioning to open water, this session is designed for those preparing for events or simply wanting to get to know the open water. This 60-minute session blends theory and practical elements, building on your learning each week . You'll explore equipment use, reading the environment, managing you body and understanding the forecasts. Designed to help you gain the confidence to swim safely and considerately. Build your confidence and get the most out of this fantastic sport with our Open Water Introduction course.

Cancellation Policy

The Sea We See CIC – Terms & Conditions for Bookings These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with The Sea We See CIC, including open water swimming, beach activities, creative sessions, and land‑based learning programmes. By booking a session, you agree to the following: 1. Booking & Payment - All bookings must be made through our approved booking system or directly with The Sea We See CIC. - Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. - Your place is confirmed only once payment has been received unless otherwise agreed. - Some sessions may have age restrictions; these will be clearly stated in the session description. 2. Participant Responsibilities By attending a session, you confirm that: - You are fit and well enough to participate in the activity you have booked. - You have disclosed any relevant medical information that may affect your safety or participation. - You will follow all instructions given by session leaders, safety personnel, and volunteers. - You will behave respectfully towards other participants, staff, and the environment. - You will use all equipment responsibly and return any borrowed items in good condition. For water‑based activities, you agree to: - Wear appropriate safety equipment (e.g., tow float, buoyancy aid, wetsuit if required). - Stay within designated areas and follow all safety briefings. - Notify a session leader immediately if you feel unwell, cold, anxious, or unsafe. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or other responsible adult. 3. Safety & Risk Outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: - Cold water exposure - Changing weather conditions - Uneven terrain - Slips, trips, and falls - Wildlife and environmental hazards We take all reasonable steps to minimise risks, but participants accept that some risk is unavoidable. The Sea We See CIC reserves the right to: - Refuse participation if we believe a person is not safe to take part - Modify or cancel a session due to weather, sea conditions, or safety concerns - Remove any participant whose behaviour puts themselves or others at risk - Refuse participants under the influence of drugs or alcohol 4. Cancellations & Refunds Cancellations by You - Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the session may be refunded or transferred, depending on availability. - Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session are non‑refundable. - No refunds are given
