Seaham In Boom gave recognition for the #Mothin4theOcean campaign.

We supported the council in its efforts to obtain and In Bloom award by organising litterpicks and ensuring the beach and cliff tops were spick and span, we talked to the judges about our work on raising ocean literacy within the community, promoting ocean health and supporting people who wanted to access the sea.

The exhibition was created to engage artists, children and the community to promote art is for all, ocean literacy is for all and raising awareness for our fragile existence by promoting healthy ocean practices while engaging the community, both young and old.  Well over 100 art pieces were entered each year, with works from schools and youth groups sitting side by side with our local professional artists.  â€‹
